Welcome to SUNCERTAINIA, a place where fears exist, but soap bubbles have healing powers. Here, we dance insecurities aways and serenade our inner divas, while gratitude ultimately conquers all. One thing is certain: the sun doesn’t always radiate brightly in SUNCERTAINIA, but at least it shines.

This dance concert takes you into the world of twenty-somethings today: doubts, fears, big dreams and absurd pop and musical references. Expect a mix of dance, singing and live electronics, in which dancer Cheyenne Illegems and musician Davide Dooreman join forces. Together they wrote the lyrics, Davide composed the music and Cheyenne set everything in motion.

Cheyenne Illegems is a dancer, creator and teacher. After graduating from P.A.R.T.S. (2019), she obtained a bachelor’s degree in education from the Royal Conservatoire Antwerp. Besides dance, she is passionate about singing and film, and in her work she explores the power of voice and movement.

Davide Cooreman is a singer and live electronic musician, trained at the Antwerp Conservatory. Her music moves between piano ballads, ambient soundscapes and dark club techno. She is always looking for a balance between city and nature, both in her music and in her life.
