Johann Clapson & Sidonie Fossé (Opinion Public dance Company)

A man loves daydreaming. He is stuck on his sofa, but tries all sorts of ways to escape from his isolation and boredom. His imagination is his salvation: everything that he can’t really experience, all his expectations and longings, he can make true with his creativity. Perhaps he can even create the woman of his dreams?

SO’FAR is a poetic piece that combines dance and acting. A captivating mix of humour, poetry and sadness. The production has already enjoyed success, at de International Choreographic Competition in Hannover, Tanzplattform in Berne and De Dansvitrine amongst others, and now it’s the streets of Mechelen’s turn to be entranced by the magical duet.

Johann Clapson and Sidonie Fossé studied at the Conservatoire Supérieur de Paris, the Princess Grace Academy and the Ecole National Supérieur de Marseilles. They met each other at the Rudra Béjart School in 2007 and have been inseparable in their private life and work ever since. They are currently members of the Béjart Ballet Lausanne. They started Opinion Public Company in Belgium together in 2010.

The role of Sidonie during Dansstorm is performed by Larissa Dorella.
