Bal Sucré is a playful and joyful dance party where children aged 8 and up can hit the dance floor together with their parents, aunts, uncles, or other dance partners. With fun assignments, a nod to traditional dance forms, and, most of all, lots of fun, they discover the magic of moving together. No experience needed: every dance is explained step by step, making it accessible for all!  

In March and April, Anne-Lore Baeckeland gave a sneak peek of Bal Sucré in several schools in Bruges. Children explored what dance can be and were encouraged to challenge their ideas about who ‘gets’ to dance. Because dance is for everyone, regardless of age or body type. Come dance with us and experience the freedom of movement! 

For over 25 years, Anne-Lore has combined her passion for dance, children, and creativity. She has worked as a freelancer for numerous arts education organizations, created her own performances and short films, and is now a full-time educational staff member at Danspunt vzw.
