Sisters

Oona Van Aken

The year is 3077. Our planet is covered in a thick layer of dust and is completely deserted… Or is it? In the darkness of this no-man’s-land, five sisters move forwards. They are building a new world bit by bit, based on their memories of the past and a vision of the future. They dream, create symbols and set the elements in motion… But will this world continue to exist? Sisters is a short dance piece for five young dancers between 12 and 16 years old.

Oona Van Aken is a dancer and dance teacher. She studied at the Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance and has a master’s degree in Theatre Studies. She has danced for choreographers such as Maya M. Carroll, Nelle Hens, Matej Kejzar, Renan Martins, Yuriko Suzuki and Anton Lachky.
