Introduction classical ballet for children

In the Springveertjes of the Conservatoire, six and seven-year-olds [Belgian first and second years, Belgian first grade] discover what dance is. They learn to listen to music and to explore the possibilities of movement that their bodies allow. They learn to transform thoughts and feeling into dance by means of stories and imaginative tasks. This is also how the basic attitudes of classical ballet are playfully introduced to them. This workshop for 6 and 7-year-olds gives them a taste of what it is like.
